Banana Chocolate cake

Another banana recipe: 

the easy and yummy Banana Chocolate Cake!

Maybe you recognise the bananas we used for this? If you don’t want to eat overripe or bruised bananas, they don’t have to be thrown away. Use them into smoothies or cakes to still give them a purpose!

Let's get started


  • 185 g plain flour
  • 45 g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 140 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp soya or coco flour
  • 140 ml vegetable oil
  • 140 ml water
  • 2 very ripe bananas

How easy is this!

Mix all ingredients per hand in a bowl and add the bananas in small pieces.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also add some crushed nuts.

Put the mixture into a greased tin (7″ round cake tin) and bake it for 45 mins at 160 °C. Done!
